Spanish 1 

1. Reading skills: Go to Spanish Vowels to practice the ‘i’ in Spanish. 

2. Speaking: Go to The Spanish Experiment to practice saying greetings in Spanish.  

3. Grammar: Subject pronouns, definite and indefinite articles, gender and tú -vs- usted

4. Vocabulary: Go to Basic Vocabulary to review the Spanish word lists. You may also practice the Spanish matching vocabulary game on Quizlet

5. Culture: Go to DK Ducksters and News Ancient Deadly Sport to find out about the Aztec culture. You may also do a web search to see what you learn more. 

What about the sacrifices and What was the Aztec city? Who were Moctezuma? How did the Aztec present day Mexico as their city? Who is Quetzalcoatl? How led the Spanish conquest? What about the Sun Stone and pyramids? 

6. Video: Go to Georgia Salsarific to watch video clips of the Georgia Spanish children’s program. 
7. Go to Map to see a map of Central and South America then complete your handout, labeling the countries and capitals. You may practice matching Spanish speaking countries and capitals on Quizlet 
8. Go to Video to learn about the Aztec empire.

2. Speaking: Go to Daily Routine to see a list of activities in Spanish the write a dialog with a partner reorganizing these phrases to tell what you do throughout the day in Spanish. Be creative and ready to do without your paper. 

3. Grammar: Near future voy a + infinitive

4. Vocabulary:  Go to Me Gusta to see a list of hobbies and activities in Spanish then with a partner practice saying the things you like to do and are going to do using me gusta + infinitive and voy a + infinitive.
